- Why did you study magic?

Because I found it much more interesting than Chemistry.
- What was the first magic you learned?

I read Paul Huson’s Mastering Witchcraft, Eliphas Levi, The Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley, Kenneth Grant, and Austin Spare. I played around with ideas and practices from all of these.
- Did you practice witchcraft? (Sorry, this is a stupid question…)

Witchcraft remains an entirely modern creation based on Gerald Gardiner’s use of ideas from the Golden Dawn and Aleister Crowley, mixed up with incorrect anthropology from Margaret Mead and old crazy accusations from the Christians.
- Can you tell us some of the results of your successful sigil magic?（If you like please answer)

I have achieved much that pleases me in the realms of personal relationships, as an entrepreneur in business, as an author, and in the quest for strange knowledge.
- What is the percentage of practitioners of Thelema, Witch, and GD in the UK?

I do not know but I guess the biggest group consists of Neo-Pagans which includes witches and druids. Today they use a lot of ideas and techniques from Chaos Magic. Thelema and GD no longer seem to attract young people.
- Can you explain why sigil magic works?

It activates the subconscious/unconscious mind which has greater psychological and parapsychological powers than the conscious mind.
- Are there any magicians in UK who are research maniacs?

There are some magicians who try to get secrets from old manuscripts and ancient books, and then there are people like me and Lionel Snell who try to work out modern ideas about magic.
- Does the UK Thelema still believe that contraceptive sex creates evil spirits?

I have never heard of that before. Aleister Crowley tried very hard to create a religion based upon himself and he often used wild analogies, lies, and jokes, all to exploit his followers.
- What are your hobbies?

I love walking in the countryside, and I love making things with my hands – sculpture, fantasy models, magical tools, furniture, jewellery, and board games. I also enjoy researching and theorising about cosmology and quantum physics.
- What is your most used tool for magic?

I have a self-made pear-wood pocket wand inscribed with all the main symbols of the EPOCH. I carry this everywhere and wave it around during my rituals.
- In basic training, for example, beginners who practice motionlessness, they do sigil magic,
“My intention is to be able to do motionlessness!”
And they do visualization,
“I want to be able to visualize!”

Yes, that’s completely wrong. Magicians should always do everything possible on the material plane first to achieve what they want, and then throw magic in on top if necessary.

No, but I will give two pieces of advice worth 9,000 words each: –
A) Always remember that ‘Magic consists of the use of Imaginary Phenomena to create Real Effects’.
B) Always remember to ‘Enchant Long and Divine Short’ wherever possible.

- Are there any limits to self-study of magic?
{NOTE:The definition of self-study in Japan is to post on anonymous internet forums, read and practice it. I don’t even attend workshops. So many are learning critical mistakes.)

No, but there is great value in meeting with other people and talking about magic, and in doing workings with them.

Will psychedelics play a role in chaos magic in the future? -
I hope not. They can open doors, but magicians should learn how to open them by will and imagination.
